Haematological malignancies are the types of cancer affecting blood, bone marrow and lymph nodes. They are referred to as Leukaemia, Lymphoma and myeloma depending on the type of cell affected.
Hematological oncology combines two fields of medicine : Hematology, which is the study of the blood, and oncology, the study of cancer. Examples of Hematologic cancer are leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Also called blood cancer.
